- Lot Description
Sterling Silver Paramount Classics Limited Edition airplane model, The Wright Brothers 1903, numbered 439 of 1,000, highlighted throughout in 24K gold. Originally made in 1977 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Wright Brothers' First Flight in 1903. Numbered with maker's hallmarks on the upper wings, additional marks to the base. Fitted with a wood base and lucite cover, and retains the original booklet. Airplane: 3 in. H x 12 1/2 in. W x 6 5/8 in. D. Base and cover: 8 1/2 in. H x 17 1/2 in. W x 11 in. D. 19.12 troy ounces.
Condition
The plane is in overall very good condition with some minor rubbing and losses to the gilt finish. Likely missing the silver statuette figure of Orville Wright running in front of the plane. Lucite cover with minor fractures to 2 corners, base with minor scratching.
