- Lot Description
Persian Farahan Sarouk or Mashad carpet, wool on wool, central ivory ground with overall scrolling stylized foliate designs, within multiple borders including wide foliate border. Woven in red, blue, green, gold, ivory, and pink colors. 12' 7" x 11' 5". 1st half 20th century.
Condition
Moderate to a few areas of heavy wear to the pile. Some areas of fading to the lighter blue color and losses to fringed ends.
