- Lot Description
Persian Kashan vase rug, wool on cotton. Large central navy field with a central flowering vase flanked by two smaller flowering vases that join to form an arbor, with a bird and butterfly overhead. Three primary borders including foliate, bird, and butterfly border. Woven in blue, red, salmon, green, and cream colors. 82 in x 51 in. Circa 1930's.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
Overall very good condition with minor losses to the fringe on each end. Wood rod and denim hangers attached to top en verso for display.
