- Lot Description
Rutherford (John Rutherford) Boyd (New Jersey, Louisiana,1884-1951) watercolor, gouache, and pencil on textured paper painting, a bird's eye view of two ladies in Art Deco attire dining, with a red uniformed waiter's elbow and spoon visible in the background. Signed "Rutherford Boyd" lower left. Housed in a giltwood frame with linen mat and giltwood filet. Sight: 11" H x 14 1/2" W. Framed: 20 1/2" H x 24" W.
Condition
Painting with some areas of pinprick paper showing due to uneven application of watercolor to the textured paper, otherwise very good condition. Frame with minor scattered abrasions, primarily to the corners.
