- Lot Description
Small European or American pastel portrait of a child in a landscape setting, wearing a white dress and clutching a chick under his or her neck. A church stands in the distance beyond a shadowy grove of trees. Unsigned. Antique giltwood molded frame with leaf carved corners. Sight: 10 1/2 in H x 9 1/2 in W. Frame: 14 1/2 in H x 13 1/2 in W. Late 18th to early 19th century.
Condition
Painting in very good condition, some debris trapped under glass. Frame has some scattered losses and repairs, regilt.
