- Lot Description
Small Smoky Mountains oil on board landscape painting, titled en verso "Mt. Sterling / Great Smoky Mtns" in the manner of Louis Edward Jones (American, 1878-1958), depicting a grassy ridge with wildflowers and mountains rising in the distance. Signature in black paint lower right (illegible). 1940s style molded wood frame. Board - 6" H x 8"W. Frame - 7"H x 9"W.
Condition
Light grime, a few tiny scattered inclusions to sky area, overall very good condition. Frame is worn and loose and missing much of its original gilding.
