- Lot Description
Sylvia Hyman (American/Tennessee, 1907-2012) stoneware and porcelain trompe l'oeil sculpture depicting a Cherokee-style basket of faux-aged letters, placed atop a separate "lace" doily. Basket signed "Sylvia Hyman" and dated 2000 to underside. The sculpture measures 11 in. H x 8 in. W x 5 in. D and is accompanied by a separate painted white wooden display block (5 1/2 in. H x 9 in. W x 4 in. D), but can also sit directly on a tabletop.
Condition
Repaired breaks to handle, visible in back only. Some wear to paint on wood block.
