- Lot Description
Tennessee Cherry One-Drawer Table and Southern Cabriole Stand. 1st Item: Tennessee Sheraton cherry one drawer table consisting of a rectangular top over a dovetailed drawer with a wooden pull. Turned legs ending in a ball and tapering cone foot. 28 3/4 in. H x 22 in. W x 16 3/8 in. D. Possibly East Tennessee, second quarter of the 19th century. 2nd Item: Southern cabriole stand having a rectangular mahogany veneered top with rounded edges over a shaped walnut apron and cabriole legs with ebony inlay bisecting the center of each leg. 28 3/8 in. H x 22 1/4 in. W x 26 in. D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition
1st item: Older refinish with top having fading and loss of finish to right rear region and back side, dark stain around wooden pull and edges of table. 2nd item: Top likely re-purposed from an earlier table.
