A retrospective of his work was held at the Asheville Art Museum in North Carolina in 1967. His work can also be found in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the MFA Boston, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Hunter Museum of American Art, the Morris Museum of Art, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
The lower edge of the sheet protrudes slightly over the mat, indicating a tiny tear at each lower side's far edge. Otherwise excellent condition. Not examined out of frame.
