Two early lithographed tin advertising signs dating to the early 20th century. The first is a vertically oriented barber shop sign reading “Please Close the Door and Ask for Claus Shears and Razors,” produced by The Meek & Beach Co., Coshocton, Ohio, and dating to approximately 1905–1915. The second is an oval E-Z Lustro stove polish souvenir tray sign from Martin & Martin Mfrs., Chicago, advertising a then-new invention for shining stoves and household ranges, likely dating to the 1910s–1920s. Both show expected age, surface wear, and oxidation consistent with original early tin signage, with strong period typography and graphics.
Signs show wear consistent with age, including oxidation, scratches, and paint loss. Please see photos for detail.
