Commissioned by Steve Chase for Martin Brattrud for the Toluca Lake residence of Bill Bowers, circa 1979. These swivel club chairs are upholstered in a richly textured fabric and defined by a rounded barrel form set on concealed rotating bases. Their generous scale and enveloping silhouette speak to a considered balance of comfort and restraint, while the clean, sculptural lines reflect Chase’s signature refinement. An original manufacturer’s tag remains intact. A quietly sophisticated design that brings together ease, presence, and enduring appeal. Height: 28.5 in. Width: 30 in. Depth: 27 in. Seat Depth: 21 in. Seat Height: 18 in.
