Selected by interior designer Steve Chase for the Toluca Lake residence of Bill Bowers, circa 1970s. A striking and poetic composition juxtaposing a thick stone slab with a naturally sculpted root base, creating a breathing dialogue between mineral and organic forms. The richly grained wood, carefully selected and shaped, enhances the tactile contrast of the piece. An exceptionally expressive and rare statement of organic modernist design. Height: 18.5 in. Width: 44 in. Depth: 34 in.
