“Focus on Peace” by Nancy Burson was a project of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in collaboration with Creative Time. Launched in early September 2002, this unique campaign distributed 30,000 postcards and nearly 7,000 posters inscribed with the message “Focus on Peace” around the 1st anniversary of September 11th. ”Focus on Peace” was a citywide declaration that served as a visualization/contemplation tool and positive message of healing and hope.
