Turner, George (English, 1841-1910), A Scene Near Cader Idres, North Wales Pass, oil on canvas, 18 x 30 inches, signed lower right and titled and signed on canvas reverse, framed measuring 24.5 x 36.5 inches. Provenance: The Estate of Charles G. Pauli, Pittsburgh, PA.
Condition
There is craquelure throughout, more visible in the clouds. There is one puncture repair near the lower left, with a patch visible on the verso. There are three small areas with inpainting on the front left side, and two areas with loss on both the upper left and right sides.
