Finely cast gilt bronze Neoclassical style mantel clock, Japy Freres movement, French, late 19th century. Retailed by J.E. Caldwell, Philadelphia, PA. Handpainted porcelain insets with floral and foliate motif. The movement is stamped 417, 52, with Japy Freres logo in circle. Case stamped 21331. 23.5 x 16 x 7.5 inches. Provenance: Collection of a Pittsburgh Gentleman, Pittsburgh, PA.
