Elkind, Sue Saniel (Self-Taught American/Western PA, d. 1994) Still Life with Flowers, January 1958, oil on canvas, signed and dated at lower right. Together with a paperback copy of Bare as the Trees, Poetry by Sue Saniel Elkind, Papier-Mache Press, Watsonville, CA, 1992. Paperback copy of Another Language, Poetry by Sue Saniel Elkind, Photgraphy by Lori Burkhalter-Lackey, Papier-Mache Press, Watsonville, CA, 1988. Canvas 30 x 25 inches, 34.5 x 29.5 inches. Books 9 x 7 inches, and 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Provenance: The Artist's collection. Elkind was a self-taught Pittsburgh poet and artist. She had a number of poems and books of poetry published and founded the Squirrel Hill Poetry Workshop in 1977.
Condition
