Pintails Taking Off From a Marsh, 2003
signed and dated "David Hagerbaumer 2003" lower left
watercolor, 9 by 12 in.Included in this lot is a framed note from the artist titled "Sprig on a Western Marsh" with a sketch of two pintails at the bottom. In this note, Hagerbaumer writes, "In my painting, I depict an autumn day on one of the many marshes that decorate the high deserts of Oregon. The day is bright and calm. The Cascades stand out sharp and blue to the west, and golden hued 'quakies' choke the creek bottoms of the mountain flanks and the shoreline of the marsh. What a glorious time of year to hunt the prince of ducks!"
