- Lot Description
Nantucket, MA, c. 1850
An exceptionally light and hollow two-piece decoy with a vertical body seam. The bird displays pronounced raised wings, scalloped carving on the top and bottom of the tail, shoe button eyes, and a small stick hole. This decoy likely pre-dates the Civil War.
