A boldly carved Maine hunting decoy with an inletted head. The simple, clean lines of this bird were fashioned by a confident and skilled maker who captured the essence of the "whistler." Original paint with even wear, an age line in bill, touch-up to a spot on back, and some barn red paint spatter mostly to right side.
