Life-Size Mallard Head Plaque
A. Elmer Crowell (1862-1952)
East Harwich, MA c. 1920
head is 10 1/2 in. long
A half-model of a mallard drake's head and neck. Throughout the course of his prolific career Crowell is believed to have made only a few dozen of these half-head models. The back is signed by the maker and bears a crisp oval brand. Original paint with wear.
