Swan carvings of any size by the Ward Brothers are rare and celebrated. Indeed, a pair of swans grace the entrance to the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Maryland. Inscribed on the underside of the balsa body "LT. WARD - Bro. Crisfield, Md. -1948- Lem Ward." Original paint with minimal wear.
