Model 423, 3-0 salmon reel, marked "Edward Vom Hofe, Maker, N.Y., Pat. May 20.02" Serial number U185. This classic fly reel has a 3 7/8 in. diameter and a 1 1/2 in. wide spool. Features a head-plate-mounted, sliding switch and a tail-plate drag-adjusting ring with red indicator dots.
