The purported artist was a famous dancer who performed at various Italian Renaissance courts. He is known for authoring an influential treatise on the art of dancing.
Losses to paint and wood panel (largest loss on panel, out of 10, is about 2.5 in. long, located in the lower right corner). The frame is in overall good condition, showing some minor wear to gilt around the panel and a chip in the upper right corner.
