1.25" Bore at the muzzle, 16" multi-stage brass cannon barrel the three sets of baluster turned rings at transitions. Barrel engraved London on top of breech with London commercial proof and view marks and a starburst over "WB" maker's mark. Unmarked flat stepped iron lock with flat goose neck cock, waterproof pan and roller frizzen secured to stock with a single bolt. Iron trigger guard and buttplate, brass ramrod thimble and entry pipe. Walnut stock with checkered wrist. Brass tipped wooden ramrod.
Good overall condition. Brass barrel with an attractive mellow patina, and a good but dirty bore. Iron lock and furniture with deep, dark brown patina and minor surface oxidation. Lock mechanically functional. Stock has sharp edges and crisp checkering at wrist with the usual dings and mars from use. A repaired crack, about 4.5" long, is present on the reverse of the fore end that runs diagonally into the ramrod channel from the fore end tip.
