.54 caliber, 22.5" round barrel. Notch rear barrel sight, copper blade front sight. Rifling has seven lands and grooves. Iron saddle bar with ring, brass frame, iron butt plate, walnut stock. The shape of the stock and the curve resemble the Maynard carbine. Total production is believed to be around 280 carbines.
Barrel is nice and smooth with much of the original brown finish remaining. Brass with nice untouched patina. Butt plate has a dark patina. Stock with untouched open-grained wood. Some nicks and dings. Bore is very good. A very rare carbine and seldom seen. This would be a great addition to a Confederate or Civil War carbine collection.
