American, 19th-early 20th century. A pair of sterling salt & pepper shakers by Gorham, having repoussé rose and vine decoration on a stippled ground, Neoclassical-style bands at foot and waist, and domed lids topped by reeded ball finials, both with full marks including 1874 date mark, and a Gorham sterling tray, retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co., having a shaped rim and central monogram, full marks on underside; tray lg. 14, wd. 10 in., shaker ht. 6.75 in. (each), total silver wt. 29.518ozt (918g).
