John James Audubon (French/American, 1785-1851) and John Woodhouse Audubon (American, 1812-1868). A collection of 85 unframed hand-colored lithographs with various subjects ranging from rodents to canids, from The Viviparous Quadripeds of North America series, 73 of them lithographed and colored by J. T. Bowen, the other 12 belonging to the first, 1849 edition printed by Nagel & Weingaertner, NY, each signed Audubon l.l., each with credit to Bowen or Nagel & Weingaertner l.r., each titled l.c.; 7 x 10 in. (sheet size of each).
Toning to all, binding edge on one side of each, some having additional losses/tears to edges and corners.
