English, 19th century. A black lacquer footed sewing box with gilt and polychrome decorations, having an oval reserve with deer to the top, over a double-door front opening to a four-drawer interior, decorated with dog motifs to doors and floral designs on the sides; ht. 9.5, wd. 9, dp. 7.75 in.
