American, early 19th century. A Federal giltwood girandole mirror, having a carved, spread-winged eagle crest surmounting a round, molded frame inset with a convex mirror plate and an ebonized liner, all above a foliate-carved pendant; ht. 47, wd. 26.75, dp. 6 in., mirror plate dia. 17.5 in.
Surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use. Flaking/losses to gilding with some small paint touch-ups. Some small chips to gesso revealing underlying wood. Scattered losses and glue repairs to crest and pendant. Some cracks to liner.
