Meissen Allegorical Figures of Autumn and Winter
German, late 19th century. A pair of Meissen porcelain figures representing Autumn and Winter, each accompanied by a putto and adorned with various symbols, standing on a square Rococo-style base, each marked on underside with blue crossed swords and incised model numbers; larger ht. 11.5 in.
Base of Winter has crack and chip in one foot. Figure has two cracks in back of robe. Autumn has damage to left hand and chips in crown.
