Model 1795 Springfield Flintlock Musket
.69 caliber, 44" barrel length, markings on center of the lockplate in front of the hammer eagle motif over "US." Rear of the lockplate is marked Springfield. Top of barrel on left side near breech is marked "P" over eagle head over "V." Buttstock is marked 1800. Marked "AS" in front of trigger. Walnut stock with three barrel bands; the last is a double band. The buttplate, trigger, triggerguard, lockplate, sidelock, hammer, frizzen and barrel are a gunmetal gray. Has steel button-head ramrod.

The stock is in good condition. The buttstock does show wear around the top of the buttplate with a small chip on the right side. The buttplate, lockplate, sidelock, triggerguard, trigger, hammer, and frizzen all have a patina that blends with the pitting. The buttplate does show wear and use with nicks and dings. The barrel and barrel bands have a patina that blends with a salt and pepper pitting throughout. The markings are good and the bore is in good condition with some pitting but can clean to better. Overall condition is good.
