Model 1807 Springfield Flintlock Carbine
.54 caliber, 33.75" round barrel. Left side of barrel marked at the breech with "P" eagle "V." "US" is marked on top of the barrel. Lockplate is marked "US" eagle Springfield and dated 1808 in the rear of the plate. Flat-style plate, flat reinforced hammer with beveled edge, rounded pan. Brass sideplate, triggerguard, and buttplate. Walnut stock with "US" cartouche. Hammer, top jaw and screw are replacements.

Barrel is a dark brown patina with pitting blending in. Lockplate is smooth with dark brown patina with some light pitting under the pan. Brass with untouched patina. Stock with some nicks and dings. Entire rifle has a very nice even look. Very fine US cartouche. A very respectable rifle.
