2.625" elliptical bore diameter, 24" iron barrel. The barrel is marked with a P and M proof over a PC proof mark, and dated 1814. The lock is marked T. French, and Canton at the rear. The stock has iron furniture, with brass plates on either side holding the horseshoe-shaped swivel yoke. The stock has an indented cheek piece in the left side of the butt. Overall length 41.5". Overall weight 16 lbs.
The barrel has a gray to plum patina throughout. The lock, hammer and frizzen have a salt and peppering pitting blending to a patina. The markings are sharp and crisp. There is a crack running down the stock from the muzzle to the horseshoe-shaped swivel yoke. The stock has been lightly cleaned.
