Model 1816 Contract Flintlock Musket by L. Pomeroy
.69 caliber, 42" barrel length smooth bore, markings on lock plate of eagle motif over "L. Pomeroy." Behind hammer on the rear of the lock plate is marked "1832" over "US." 1832 marked on the upper tang. Proof marks on the barrel largely defective however the eagle head is recognizable. Walnut stock with brown metal parts. Comes with metal button-head ramrod.

Metal parts have pitting that blends to an even brown. The barrel has pitting that blends to a brown patina. The stock is in very good condition with expected nicks and dings with a crack near upper tang and at the top of the stock near the buttplate. The markings on the lockplate are sharp and crisp. The markings on top of the barrel are defective. This musket could clean to be very good to excellent. Bore is pitted, but could clean to better. Overall condition is good.
