British, early to mid-19th century. A pair of knife boxes of serpentine form, each with inlay to edges, compartmentalized interior, and key; each ht. 14.5, wd. 9, dp. 10 in.
One box has separation of wood at right front corner and chip to top right on lid. Both have splits to wood on sides and sides of lids. Interiors have probably been repainted/redone.
