.43 Spanish caliber, 36" barrel length, markings on top of barrel at breech "Modelo Argentino 1879 E.N." Remington markings on upper tang in 3 lines. Marking on left side of stock "70" over sideways "Z." Walnut stock with 3 barrel bands. All metal parts had a tin finish. Comes with a slotted head ramrod. Has a bayonet lock on the right side of the barrel. The Remington rolling block became the national gun for the Argentine military in 1879.
The walnut stock is good with scratches, nicks and dings. The metal parts retain a little of the tin finish with a peppered dark pitting throughout. The markings are sharp and crisp. The bore is in good shape. Overall condition is good.
