Springfield Model 1812 Second Model
.69 caliber, 41.5" barrel length. Walnut stock with oval cheek cut out on left side of buttstock. Lockplate is marked with eagle motif over Springfield in front of hammer. 1815 is marked at the back of the lock plate. OSBORNE is stamped on the butt stock in front of buttplate. Iron barrel, barrel bands, lock plate, hammer, trigger and butt plate. Has iron ramrod.

Walnut stock has scratches, nicks and dings. The buttplate has an untouched gray to dark brown patina. The barrel is gray with a peppered pitting mixing in with patina throughout. The markings are fading, but legible. Pitting in the bore. Overall condition is good.
