William IV Rosewood Center Table
English, second quarter 19th century. A William IV rosewood center table, having a square top with canted corners above a central, foliate-carved and ring-turned pedestal fitting into a leaf-tip collar, surrounded by four foliate-carved and beaded spindles, all rising on an incurvate plinth with ovolo feet and brass casters; ht. 29.25, wd. 38.25, dp. 38.75 in.
Minor surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use. Some minor veneer cracks and small veneer repairs on sides of base. Central pedestal with some light age cracks. Top with a repaired split along one edge.
