Clarence Millet (1897-1959), "French Quarter Patio," 20th c., oil on board, signed l.r., presented in a gilt frame, H.- 10 7/8 in., W.- 12 7/8 in. Note: Attached verso is a note: "Aug. 4, 1973, Mr. Young, Would you please sign C. Millet on this painting in oil. Susie Millet." Susie was Clarence's sister, and the note was to Lloyd Young, a painting restorer from Gonzales, LA. It appears to be an unsigned painting in possession of his sister, who wanted it signed fourteen years after her brother's death. Susie died in 1982.
