English Carved Oak Welsh Cupboard, late 19th c., with an ogee crown over a scalloped skirt above two plate shelves, on a base with three frieze drawers over double cupboard doors, with mahogany accents, on bracket feet, H.- 79 in., W.- 59 1/8 in., D.- 18 in.
Condition consistent with age and use. A slight warp is noted throughout. Light scratches and scuffs are seen throughout. Several pea-size gouges and an approximate 4 inch scratch are observed near the back edge of the top. Cracks are noted in the bottoms of the drawers. Moderate wear resulting in fading is noted along the middles of the drawers. Very small surface cracks are observed scattered throughout the front of the drawers. Moderate wear is seen on the feet, especially the front left. Several apparent repairs, approximate 1 inch triangles, are observed to the veneer on the bottom edge. Flea-size dents are seen along the front top edge. A charming piece.
