French Jacobean Style Carved Oak Court Cupboard, 19th c., the stepped crown over four cupboard doors, two with portrait medallions, flanked by lobed and foliate carved baluster urn supports, on a base with a central cupboard door flanked by two frieze drawers over two cupboard doors, on bun feet, H.- 72 1/4 in., W.- 81 1/2 in., D.- 23 3/4 in.
Condition consistent with age and use. Scattered light scratches, scuffs and dents are observed throughout. Heavy wear is seen throughout the middle section, with fading around the edges. Heavy wear is also noted on the edges of the leaves. A 2 inch black discoloration is seen near one corner. An approximate 1 inch dent is seen on the top of one leaf. Slightly raised texture is observed throughout. A 2 inch scratch is noted in the middle. An approximate 1 inch black streak is observed near the right side. Two ½ inch chips are seen on the corners of one leaf. An approximate ½ inch indentation is noted above one foot. A handsome example.
