French Louis XV Style Carved Walnut Armoire, late 19th c., the arched carved crown over two arched wide beveled mirrored doors, flanked by stiles and bombe side panels, on carved cabriole legs with scrolled feet on French toes joined by a serpentine skirt, H.- 108 in., W.- 67 1/2 in., D.- 24 in.
Condition consistent with age and use. Exposure to woodworm. Some mild losses are observed to the outermost carving and abrasive wear is noted near the legs. Some mildly consistent chips and scratches are observed intermittently throughout. The veneer has some bubbling with apparent repairs noted with some mild consistency throughout. Some apparent lifting is noted to the applied decoration and molding. There appears to be some slight loosening of the leg joints. Locked. A very good, attractive example.
