French Ormolu Mounted Louis XVI Style Inlaid Kingwood Bookcase, early 20th c., the rectangular top over setback double doors with glazed upper panels and marquetry inlaid lower panels, flanked by ormolu mounted pilasters, on a plinth base on turned bun feet, H.- 59 1/2 in., W.- 35 1/4 in., D.- 13 1/4 in.Condition consistent with age and use. Water mark on top, where the veneer has now warped. Water stain is 6 in. diameter. Some veneer has flaked off at the top proper left, above metal ornamental band. Key present and lock in working condition. Normal nicks throughout per usual wear. Inlay intact.
