Louis XV Style Carved Cherry Writing Table, early 20th c., the stepped serpentine top over a frieze drawer on reeded cabriole legs joined by a serpentine skirt, H.- 28 1/2 in., W.- 31 1/2 in., D.- 22 5/8 in.
Condition consistent with age and use. A hairline crack, measuring approximately 2 inches, is seen in the bottom left corner of the drawer. An approximate 3 inch section of veneer is separated from the top along the underside of the right edge. Slight flaking is seen in the finish in the groove below. Deep scratches are observed along the left edge of the top. Scattered scratches and scuffs are seen intermittently throughout. A lovely example.
