- Lot Description
Louis XVI Style Brass Patinated Onyx Top Oil Floor Lamp, 1878, the pierced font on a twisted support centered by an inset figured onyx table on four twist decorated supports to splayed legs on scrolled feet centered by a twisted column to a reticulated stretcher shelf terminating in a finial, with a floral painted ball shade and glass chimney, H.- 55 in., W.- 13 3/4 in., D.- 13 3/4 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. The shade now lacking. Wired with antiquated electrical wiring. It appears that the reservoir has been altered to accommodate electrical modifications. Some mildly consistent patina is noted throughout; the legs appear to have a more darkened patina than the upper portion. The brass finish varies from shiny to dull. The onyx top has a crack on one edge with apparent debris within. Some dust debris is observed throughout. A good example.ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
