William H. Williams (1817-1886), "Plan of the City of Jefferson," 1860, lithographed map with written notations, laid to a paper backing, unframed, H.- 15 in., W.- 18 1/2 in. Note: Williams was a Surveyor and Civil Engineer for Jefferson Parish, then New Orleans, working mostly as surveyor for the City of Carrollton. He lived at #65 Carrollton Ave., now the 700 block. There are three other copies of this map known to exist in the Historic New Orleans Collection and Louisiana State Museum.
