Information provided by the Artist: Aliyah Sidqe is a Sacramento-based fine artist whose work explores Black femininity within the ordinary, elevating intimate, everyday moments into sites of power, softness, and reflection. Through richly layered compositions and a bold yet nuanced use of color, Sidqe examines identity, memory, and the interior lives of Black women with tenderness and intention. Her paintings center quiet rituals—motherhood, stillness, adornment, rest—reframing them as profound acts of presence and self-definition. A self-taught artist with over a decade of professional practice, Sidqe has presented work in solo and group exhibitions throughout Northern California. Her work is held in private collections and continues to resonate with collectors drawn to narrative-driven contemporary figuration.
