Fair market value: $4,000Information provided by the Artist: Drew Goings is a painter from Central California who has shown in galleries in New York City, Boston, London, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Montreal, and has been included in the exhibitions Pop and After, Beyond Realism, and Street View. Drew Goings: "The subjects of my paintings are the business signs and store fronts we encounter every day. These signs—mostly neon—are older, neglected, and often only occasionally used. Most people pass these businesses and signs daily, without notice. Yet they are an art form in themselves. Often intended for viewing at night, the glow of the neon beckoned passers-by to a place to sleep, eat, to buy their liquor. Viewed in sunlight, these signs can look rough, even awkward. Flaws, peeling paint, and dirt are all revealed".

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
