Information provided by the Artist: Farraday Newsome is a ceramic artist with artwork in public and private collections throughout the United States. Public collections include the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, American Museum of Ceramic Art, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Long Beach Museum of Art, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Everson Museum of Art, Bates College Museum of Art, Arizona State University Art Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, Racine Art Museum, Spencer Museum of Art, and others. Farraday Newsome grew up in the redwood forests of California, receiving her Bachelors in Art from the University of California Santa Cruz (1977) and Masters in Art with a Ceramic Emphasis from San Francisco State University (1987). Farraday Newsome's work is represented in the Crocker's permanent collection.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
