The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Fair market value: $800Information provided by the Artist: Juana Alicia has been creating murals, prints, sculptures, illustrations, and studio paintings for over thirty years. Her style, akin to genres of contemporary Latin American literary movements, can be characterized as magical and social realism, and her work addresses issues of social justice, gender equality, environmental crisis, and the power of resistance. The artist has received a Fulbright Fellowship, a Windcall Residency, a Master Muralist Award (Precita Eyes), and a California Arts Council Legacy Artist Award, among other recognitions. Her sculptural and painted public commissions (individual and collaborative) can be seen in Nicaragua, Mexico, Pennsylvania, and California, notably in San Francisco. They include SANARTE at U.C.S.F. Medical Center, SANTUARIO at SFO, LA LLORONA'S SACRED WATERS in Mission San Francisco's Mission District, the MAESTRAPEACE mural of San Francisco Women’s Building, and the GEMELOS mural in Mérida, Yucatán, México.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
